Catella advises property investment company in acquisition financing
Catella has acted as consultant to a subsidiary of the Berlin property investment company GHS Gesellschaft für Haus und Service GmbH in financing the acquisition of real estate with a total value of approximately 40 million Euros. The subsidiary, Erste Bauwerk Immobilien Nord GmbH, Berlin, secured the services of Catella in building up its portfolio as well as selection and organisation of non-recourse financing.
The major Dutch bank ABN Amro is acting as the financing partner. To procure external financing, Catella has made use of the new Smart Loan programme offered by this credit institute and will also manage the resale process envisaged for Erste Bauwerk Immobilien Nord GmbH.
Catella Corporate Finance advises both buyers and sellers in M&A assignments and structured financing of real estate portfolios and real estate companies. One of its major business segments is consulting of medium-sized property investment companies which are in possession of core and core-plus properties but have no access to non-recourse financing facilities.
With its consulting service Catella ensures that its customers obtain sufficient external financing to build up significant property portfolios and will profit from portfolio premiums on the market value in subsequent resale of their real estate packages.
